The wind failed to banders

The wind was blowing angrily ringing during the day last Saturday, 14 November. However, at Station 94 Chorrillo birds were captured 12 different species, among which include a Self-Healing ringed robin here last year and half, and the large number of blackcaps that spend the winter in this area.

OTHER PERUVIAN LITERATURE: FROM INCLUSION TO
MARGINALITY

disseminate critical approaches to the study of so-called peripheral literatures in our country, to facilitate a meeting for researchers in literature, culture and oral tradition of Quechua, Aymara, Andean, Amazonian and Afro-Peruvian, and to reflect and discuss issues related to identity, oral and popular culture, the National Library of Peru, the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (San Marcos) and Ediciones Huerequeque organized a series of roundtables to discuss this issue. New strategies for inclusion the last decade of the twenty-first century, Peru has experienced the emergence of a new literary corpus result of artistic and cultural manifestations of social and ethnic sectors from within the country. The oral production, popular and indigenous languages, literature is regarded as a marginal, peripheral or subordinate, which prevents dissemination and evaluation in the canon. In this context it is necessary to study, reflect and discuss this issue, then discuss the strategies and responses including, without discrimination or devaluation of our traditional culture.

Chorrillo Surprises Pickup

The banding day on Sunday in El Chorrillo was full of pleasant surprises, despite the wind prevailing. We captured 81 birds of 12 species, among which we highlight one that never had been banded in the Season: common bullfinch.
Significantly
also recovering from a chaffinch that had ringed the past five years and nine months, plus other recaptures of serin, blackcap or bunting.

This is the common finch, a young male age 3 (Euring), which is passing through the area in winter.

blackcap This is a young male (age 3, Euring), in which crown shows that has retained a lot of feathers from the nest, brown. The delay in the change of feathers indicates that this individual has been born in the latest proposals of the season to start saving energy for migration.

Chorrillo blackcap

banding
The day the last Sunday in the Chorrillo was much more quiet than before, although, were captured 33 birds of 10 species different.

As in recent instances, stresses the recapture of a copy of blackcap, a female banded in the same place two and half years ago (pictured above). Almost certainly, we can say that this is an individual come from the north of Europe is preparing to spend another winter in this land.

Note the influx of large flocks of finches, also from the north, as they have captured more individuals of this species than in other seasons.
