The banding day on Sunday in El Chorrillo was full of pleasant surprises, despite the wind prevailing. We captured 81 birds of 12 species, among which we highlight one that never had been banded in the Season: common bullfinch.

also recovering from a chaffinch that had ringed the past five years and nine months, plus other recaptures of serin, blackcap or bunting.
This is the common finch, a young male age 3 (Euring), which is passing through the area in winter.
blackcap This is a young male (age 3, Euring), in which crown shows that has retained a lot of feathers from the nest, brown. The delay in the change of feathers indicates that this individual has been born in the latest proposals of the season to start saving energy for migration.
