"The Lion King" is the allegorical story of a young lion named Simba and his heroic journey in search of being the king of the jungle. Simba is the only son of Mufasa, the king of the savannah and head of The King's Rock. " It is blamed for the death of his father during a stampede of ostriches caused by his uncle Scar and the hyenas. Flees to the jungle and befriends Timon and Pumbaa, an unlikely pair of strangers, with whom she lives an easy life in an oasis in the savannah. He would rather live like this forever if it were not for Nala, who makes you reflect and realize that he must fulfill his destiny: to return to the kingdom, banishing Scar and occupy its rightful place as successor.
This story is a sequel to the classic Hamlet of Shakespeare, where the plot is the same, although the outcome and the end are different. The theme the prince who is to avenge his father killed by treachery of his brother and uncle of the protagonist ( Hamlet) and his subsequent exile and the ghost of the murdered king urging regain control of the kingdom. A nod to Shakespearean tragedy occurs when, in the middle of one of his songs, soliloquies, "Scar holding a skull in its claws, as does the character of Hamlet in his famous" to be or not to be ".
Twelve professional actors bring to life this touching story recreated by the group returns to tie the boards after a long break and we also share special effects, great music, colorful sets and very funny scenes.
The show will be presented at the Chamber Theater, located in the San Isidro Park Oval 315 behind the former movie Orrantia, from November 7 to December 13, every Saturday and Sunday starting at 4 pm . Patricia Briceño
